Robert, CPA brings experience in audit, tax strategy, CFO-level leadership, and real estate investment, and works closely with clients to provide clear, practical guidance. Known for a thoughtful and detail‑oriented approach, Robert draws on more than 20 years of diverse accounting and finance experience to help business owners, medical professionals, and property investors achieve financial clarity and long‑term success. 

Michel Knott

Certified Public Accountant

Michel was the Managing Member of Knott CPA and a Nevada-licensed Certified Public Accountant with experience in both public and private accounting since 2007. He specializes in auditing, governmental accounting, forensic accounting, and tax compliance, and has been an active CPA since 2009. Michel is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and a QuickBooks Advisor. Outside of his professional work, he is actively involved in community service, volunteering with organizations such as food banks, master gardeners, and departments of corrections.

Certified Public Accountant

George is a Nevada-licensed Certified Public Accountant who earned both his B.S. in Accounting and Master of Accountancy from the University of Nevada, Reno. After beginning his career in private accounting, he joined Knott CPA as a public accountant, where he works with a wide range of clients. George values the variety and hands-on nature of small-firm work and takes pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality work that creates real value for clients. Outside of work, he enjoys motorcycle rides with his family and stays active through fitness and juggling. 

Erika Root

Office Administrator

Erika is the full-time Office Administrator at Knott CPA, managing scheduling, document requests, filing, and other day-to-day operations that keep the firm running smoothly. As the friendly voice on the phone and at the front desk, she helps ensure clients get the support they need and directs questions to the right team member when needed. Outside the office, Erika enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Tahoe area and spending time in Reno’s vibrant arts scene.

Office Administrator

Julie is a backup Office Administrator and part-time bookkeeper with decades of experience supporting accounting practices. She previously worked for many years at her father’s firm and later with Kevin Pikero, continuing on part-time after the practice transitioned. Julie enjoys maintaining long-standing client relationships while welcoming new ones. Outside of work, she and her husband are active in the local theater community, and she also participates in Scottish country dancing.
